The synthetic Vitamin E market remains steady, with prices having settled, although local availability of USP grade oil can be restricted due to tariff issues on imports. Vitamin A palmitate market has been stable, despite BASF's outage late 2024 through 1st quarter 2025. BASF's plant is in the process of restarting, but full availability is anticipated by the fourth quarter of 2025.

The US Vitamin E Market Maintains an Uptrend, Input Costs Rise and Demand Stabilizes
Concerning the ongoing effects of the July 2024 explosion at a facility producing essential intermediates for synthesizing Vitamins E, A, and Beta Carotene, BASF has successfully resumed the supply of several Vitamin A derivatives (acetate, propionate). However, as of July 3, 2025, there has been no public update on the restart of Vitamin E acetate, Vitamin A palmitate, or Beta Carotene. Their Force Majeure news site indicates that supply constraints persist for these specific products.
